Powerful, Comfortable, and Efficient – But Could Use a Few Tweaks

Posted by Mike W on 28th Jan 2025

I recently upgraded to the Ariens IKON Select 52-Inch Zero-Turn Mower with the 23 HP Kawasaki engine, and I’m overall quite impressed with its performance. It’s definitely made mowing my large yard much faster and easier, but there are a couple of minor drawbacks that kept me from giving it a perfect score. Here’s my honest review:1. Fuel Tank Capacity: While the mower is fantastic in almost every way, the fuel tank is a bit small for my liking. I have a fairly large lawn, and I find myself needing to refuel halfway through, which is a bit of a hassle. A larger tank would make long sessions a lot more convenient. 2. Some Assembly Issues: The mower was relatively easy to assemble, but I did run into a small issue with aligning one of the front wheels. It wasn’t a huge deal, but it took a little more time than I expected to get everything perfectly aligned. A more thorough quality check on the assembly would have been nice.
